Eureka Springs is 45 miles and about a full different world from Bentonville. Victorian downtown, spring-fed pools, live music, tarot shops, and roads too narrow for a Suburban. Here's how to do it with a group and one Sprinter.
The drive: US-62 East
From Bentonville Square, take US-62 East through Rogers, Garfield, and Gateway. Roughly 1h 5m without stops. The road climbs into the Ozarks after Beaver Lake — worth the drive itself. Van handles the switchbacks fine; just take it slow through the last mile into downtown Eureka.
Where to stay + where to park
Basin Park Hotel and 1905 Basin have valet-adjacent parking. If you're at the Crescent Hotel or renting a downtown Airbnb, use the free trolley lots at the top of Spring Street — the streets themselves are too tight for a Sprinter. We recommend Airbnbs on the eastern edge (near Passion Play Road) for easy van access.
Friday night: dinner + downtown
Le Stick Nouveau or Local Flavor Cafe for dinner; then Chelsea's Corner Cafe or the Basin Park courtyard for live music. Everyone piles back in the van at 11pm — no split rideshares, no missing group members.
Saturday: springs, hikes, and Blue Spring Heritage Center
Morning at Blue Spring Heritage Center (20 min from downtown) — one of the largest natural springs in the Ozarks. Lunch at Mud Street Cafe. Afternoon at Thorncrown Chapel (7 min south) and the Passion Play grounds for the view. Dinner: 1886 Steakhouse or Sparky's Roadhouse Cafe.
Sunday brunch and back to NWA
Oscar's Cafe or Ermilio's for brunch; walk it off on Spring Street; van back on US-62 by early afternoon. Home in Bentonville by mid-afternoon. Total driving in the Sprinter: ~2.5 hours across the weekend.
